With high capacity storage as a focus, the bright mid-range MicroVault™ Click has a reduced form factor from its predecessor and is lighter at approximately 9 grams. The colourful line-up offers Hi-Speed USB 2.0 data transfer and storage capacity from 2GB up to 16GB. The MicroVault™ Click range has a bright design, with one colour per capacity via an LED indicator light.

For advanced performance, the Sony MicroVault™ Click range offers Windows® ReadyBoost™ compatibility, allowing Windows Vista to use part of the MicroVault's™ memory to speed up system performance without additional RAM. Sony's pre-installed Virtual Expander6 compression software allows storage of up to 3 times more data, depending on the file type and content.

The MicroVault™ Click come with 5 years manufacture's European warranty.

The Sony Micro Vault USB Pen Drive is a quality, fast, smart USB 2.0 drive that is also backwards compatible with USB 1.1. It comes with Virtual Expander, Sony's unique file compression software that's installed on the device for ease of use. Virtual Expander makes it possible to store 3 times as much data and is compatible with Windows 2000 (SP3 and higher) and XP (SP1 and higher). So with a 2GB drive you could get a virtual capacity of up to 6GB!

The drive without the use of Virtual Expander is compatible with Windows Vista, XP Pro and Home, Windows 2000, ME and Mac OS 9.0 and higher. Please note USB 2.0 high speed mode has not been certified by Microsoft for use with Windows 98, 98SE or ME, nor by Apple for Mac OS.

The Sony Micro Vault Turbo USB memory drive offers Ultra High Speed data transfer rates of up to 28MB/sec read speed and 18MB/sec write speed for the 512MB and 1GB models, 29MB/sec read speed and 23MB/sec write speed for the 2GB model and 26MB/sec read speed and 19MB/sec write speed for the 4GB model.

It also comes pre-loaded with Micro Vault's Virtual Expander which compresses data to provide up to 3 times the amount of storage (based on tests by Sony on a sample of 14 file types, hence compression will vary).

All models are compatible with Windows Vista (suitable for use with ReadyBoost), XP Pro and Home Editions, Windows 2000, Windows ME and Mac OS 9.0 and higher.

Please note that the 512MB and 4GB models will require an update from Sony for Virtual Expander to work with Windows Vista.
